SF-S181 Octadecyltrimethoxysilane

It is mainly used to treat inorganic materials such as glass, silica, A2O3, kaolin, ceramics, mica, silicon carbide, and talc to improve their blending properties with organic materials. It also improves water resistance and enhances the mechanical properties of products. Applications include: (a) Anti-fogging preparation of glass; (b) Protection of blank glass and coated glass (optical anti-reflective coating, vacuum anti-reflective coating, etc.); (c) Protection of optical components or precision instruments with scales and metal frames; (d) Protection of cultural relics or other aquatic products; (e) Preservation of historical relics (especially outdoor sites); (e) Preservation of remains from corrosion, freezing, or weathering.
