Three Commonly Used Aminosilanes (Direct-to-Production Versions)
SF-S550 (γ-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane)
General-purpose aminosilane, offering the best cost-performance ratio and widest applicability.
Suitable for: Epoxy systems, phenolic systems, glass fiber, mineral fillers (silica, talc, aluminum hydroxide/magnesium), metal substrates, anti-corrosion coatings, and general adhesives.
Recommended Dosage:
Coatings/Adhesives: 0.5%–2.0% of total formulation
Fiberboard Filler Surface Treatment: 0.3%–1.5% of filler weight
Glass Fiber Impregnation: Prepare as a 0.3%–1.0% aqueous solution.
SF-S792 (N-β-Aminoethyl-γ-Aminopropyltrimethoxysilane)
Double-amino type, with higher reactivity, stronger adhesion, and enhanced reinforcement.
Suitable for: High-end epoxy adhesives, structural adhesives, electronic potting compounds, fiberglass, glass fiber reinforced nylon/engineering plastics, and coatings requiring high water and salt spray resistance. Recommended Dosage: Adhesives/Electronic Adhesives: 0.5%–2.0% Coatings/Primers: 0.4%–1.5% Fillers/Fiberglass Treatment: 0.3%–1.2%
SF-S540 (γ-Aminopropyltrimethoxysilane)
Trimethoxy type, faster hydrolysis, higher polarity, suitable for rapid curing and water-based systems.
Suitable for: Water-based coatings, water-based adhesives, room temperature fast-curing epoxy systems, inorganic powder activation, and promoting adhesion to metal substrates.
Recommended Dosage:
Water-based systems: 0.3%–1.5%
Adhesives/Sealants: 0.5%–2.0%
Filler Modification: 0.2%–1.0%
